Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint by Barry M. in Blood Orange

Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint by Barry M. in Blood Orange
Believe it or not this is the first time I have owned a Barry L nail polish, on the one hand because I go through periods when I bite my nails out of stress and do not buy many nail varnishes and on the other hand because I was not sure about the performance of such a bargain brand, but how wrong I was, at least about the quality of the Gelly nail paint which is very good.
First of all it is very easy to apply with the small but precise brush included especially for such a bright colour and my wobbly hand. Second it is definetely high shine and slightly resembles a gel manicure even though it does not look as "resistant" and it is not as long lasting. Two coats of this nail polish applied on top of a base coat (but without a top coat)  lasted for about 5 days on my nails before they needed to be done again. It was quite easy to remove and did not leave any yellow mark (but I had a base coat underneath).
The shade called Blood Orange is a beautiful, classic, vivid orange based (as opposed to blue based) red but not orange at all.
