I usually like setting my foundation with a dusting of powder, the lighter and more undetectable the better so that as soon as the new Nars Light Reflecting Setting Powder was available I had to try it and here is what I think.
First of all I was pleased to find out that the the old style packaging of the other Nars loose powder with a square jar and a messy mesh screen had been replaced with a round jar (where you could fit a powder puff) with a screw on lid and a shaker top which is in my opinion more practical. Unfortunately a puff is not included and for the price I would have liked to get one.
The powder comes in one shade called Translucent Cristal which looks off white but goes on "crystal clear" without leaving any whitish cast. It is lightweight, soft and easy to blend with a powder puff or a brush after tipping any excess off.
Upon application my skin looks immediately smoother and more luminous thanks to the light reflecting particles in it. So even though this powder is a little bit shimmery, it does not make my completion look shiny but rather semi-matte and in fact it does a pretty good job at controlling shine on my combination skin (for about 8 hrs) in winter time. I actually find this powder to be a little bit dry, in spite of its moisturizing claim, but still comfortable to wear. If you are looking for a weightless, undetectable and "my skin only better" type of powder you may like this one.
interessante!
